Hey elementary counselors! We all know our role is to support, guide, and empower students to become their best selves. One of the ways you can do this is by conducting weekly lunch bunches, where you create a supportive space for students to interact with you and their peers. And who doesn’t love a good low-key conversation to check in with our students? Your sessions can be used to discuss a range of topics such as bullying, self-esteem, and social skills. But let’s get real here, coming up with new activities and discussion topics each week can be a daunting and time-consuming task. So let’s talk about why you only need ONE  lunch bunch resource and the benefits it can bring.

Time-Saving
One of the most significant benefits of having one resource is that it can save you time. As a school counselor, your responsibilities are numerous, and time is a limited resource. Having a pre-planned and organized lunch bunch check-in form can help you maximize that time, allowing you to focus more on the students’ themselves instead of spending hours searching for new ideas each week.

Consistency
Another benefit of using one resource is that it provides consistent support for your students. Consistency is essential when building relationships with students, and having a consistent activity can help build trust and rapport. It can also help students feel secure and comfortable!

Easy Implementation
Using one resource is easy to implement. With many available resources out on the market, you can choose one that aligns with the amount of time you have, show it to the students once, and be done with introducing new activities. Once you have chosen your resource, you can quickly implement it into your weekly lunch bunches, knowing that your planning for this part of your job is done for the year.

If you are an elementary school counselor, using this year-long lunch bunch resource can help you save time, provide consistent support, and have a greater impact on your students. By choosing the right resource, you can help develop essential social and emotional skills in your students and provide a safe and supported environment for them to grow. Remember, your role as a counselor is essential, but your time is limited. Spend less time searching for activities and more time with your students!
